Bridesmaids are one of the most important guests in a wedding for they hold a very special role in the ceremony itself. A wedding isn’t complete without the bridesmaids, especially if you’re planning to hold it in a church or a chapel. You have to be careful which friends or relatives you will assign as bridesmaids on your wedding. You surely want to pick the people who are genuinely happy about you entering that wonderful new phase in your life.
Here are some tips when choosing your bridesmaids:
1. Pick your closest friends.
Nothing could comfort your best in your life’s biggest decision other than the people who knows you from the inside out. You can always count on your best friend to cheer you up before, during, and after the event every time your nerves get a little unsteady.
2. Pick your favorite cousin.
Nothing beats family as far as your bridesmaid choices are concerned. That cousin whom you grew up with is always the perfect choice – especially if you already have your sister as the maid of honor. Be sure to invite her over in time for your wedding. Ask her over weeks before, if you have a lot of catching up to do.
3. Pick your most trusted colleague.
Sometimes, putting in a little of everybody in your bridesmaid list is a great idea. So you’ve already have in there your best friend and a relative, the third candidate could be somebody you know from school, work, or organization. Just be sure that she’s someone you’re really close to or asking her to be your bridesmaid is going to be awkward.
Three bridesmaids should be enough for your wedding to work perfectly right. If you want more, you can always add another friend, a family member, or a colleague in the mix. Just be sure that you don’t put in too many people in there or your guest list will get more difficult to manage.
